What is the La Calabaza song and how do I add the sound to my video?

La Calabaza ("the pumpkin") is the Spanish-language Halloween track behind the three-dancing-cats trend. No AI generator can legally bake the recording into your MP4, so every La Calabaza video you download is silent. You add the sound inside TikTok or Instagram Reels after uploading, by picking it from the sounds library or tapping "Use this sound" on any original clip. The result is identical to the viral videos and keeps your post inside the trend feed.

Why the download has no audio

The La Calabaza recording belongs to its rights holders. TikTok and Instagram license it for use inside their apps, which is why adding it there is free and allowed. Embedding it in a file we hand you would not be. A silent MP4 is also what TikTok's own "add sound" flow expects: it replaces the audio track anyway.

Adding the sound on TikTok

  1. Open any La Calabaza cat video and tap the spinning sound name at the bottom
  2. Tap "Use this sound"
  3. Tap Upload and pick your dancing-pet MP4 from your camera roll
  4. Trim the sound so the beat drop lands when the pets start stepping (around 3 s in)
  5. Post with #lacalabaza and #halloween

Adding the sound on Instagram Reels

  1. Create a Reel and select your video
  2. Tap Audio and search "La Calabaza"
  3. Pick the version with the most Reels and align the start point
  4. Share to Reels

Syncing the dance to the beat

The generated video follows three beats: stand up (0–3 s), step and swing (3–8 s), spin (8–10 s). Line the start of the sound's main beat with the moment the pets begin stepping and the spin lands on the last hit. If your clip feels early, move the sound start back by half a second.

FAQ

Can I download the video with the song already in it?
No. All downloads are silent; add the sound in TikTok or Reels.
Will my post show up under the La Calabaza sound?
Yes, if you add the original sound inside the app rather than uploading audio yourself.
Can I use a different song?
Of course. The video is a silent 10-second clip, so any sound works.
