Why is my La Calabaza AI video not working?
Nine times out of ten the photo is the cause: cropped body, pet seen from the side or behind, two animals in frame, or a dark, blurry shot. Fix the photo and generate again. If the render itself fails, your credits are refunded automatically and you can retry at no cost. Below are the specific symptoms and what to change.
"Generation failed" or the job sits at processing
A full video takes about 5 minutes; a preview under 2. If it fails, the credits are returned to your account automatically. Retry with a photo that shows the whole body facing the camera. If the same photo fails twice, email support@lacalabazadance.com with the job time and we will look at the render log.
The dancers don't look like my pet
- Use a photo with the whole body and clear markings, not a head crop
- Shoot in daylight; dark photos lose fur colour
- Avoid filters and AR effects
- Make sure only one animal is in the photo
There are four cats, or one leaves the frame
This is a model slip, not your photo. Generate again — the video model is non-deterministic and a second run usually gives exactly three. Failed-looking results that were technically delivered are not refunded automatically; reply to your receipt email and we sort it manually.
The hat or glasses are on the wrong one
The props are fixed in the prompt (left glasses, middle hat, right none) but the model occasionally swaps them. It still reads as La Calabaza; regenerate if you want it exact.
Upload says "at least 512×512" or won't finish
- Minimum 512 px on the short side; most phone photos are far above that
- JPG, PNG or WEBP under 10 MB — HEIC from iPhone is converted when you pick it from Photos, but screenshots of HEIC are not
- On a slow connection wait for the upload bar to finish before pressing Generate
FAQ
- Do I get charged if the render fails?
- No. Credits are refunded automatically on failure.
- Can I get my free preview again if it failed?
- Yes — a failed preview does not use up the free one.
- The video is silent. Is that a bug?
- No. Add the La Calabaza sound on TikTok or Reels.
- Why 720p and not 4K?
- 720p is what TikTok shows; the HD tier gives 1080p for $7.99.
One photo, free preview, then $3.99 for the full video. No subscription.
